Miscellaneous First Day Information

Late arrivals: If you are resident minor participant and will be arriving after 11:30 a.m. or a commuter or adult participant arriving after 1:00 p.m., please call our office at or email us at
[email protected] as far in advance as possible so we can make late arrival arrangements for you.

If you have questions, we’ll have an information table staffed by an SJW staff member in the Campbell Courtyard located inside Braun Music Center where you can get the answers you need. We also have knowledgeable SJW staff members in the lobby of Braun to help direct participants to classrooms and answer questions.

Parent and family departure
Minor participants are welcome to bring parents or a family member with them to help guide them through the registration process; however, many participants do arrive alone.

Parents are welcome at our registration sessions and are encouraged to visit the information table in Campbell Courtyard, but there will not be room for parents to attend Sunday classes and activities. Once a participant is checked in at the registration desk, receives their red Welcome folder, and has confirmed that no outstanding balances or forms are due, parents are free to leave.
Commuter participants can arrange to meet up with parents after the welcome dinner (ending at 6:30 p.m.) or after the concert (ending around 10:00 p.m.)

Where to eat on the first day
The most convenient place to go is Tresidder Union, which is located near Braun Music Center, directly across the plaza from Dinkelspiel Auditorium. The most popular and closest eateries there are: Coho, Union Square Food Court, and Treehouse.
