SJW JazzGirls Day: a fun afternoon of jazz exploration — Saturday, March 23

Have a fun afternoon exploring jazz and improvisation with the Bay Area’s best female jazz musicians and educators — for free!

Directed by Sarah Cline, the award-winning band director at Berkeley High School, JazzGirls Day is open to female, female-identified, and gender non-conforming musicians in middle school and high school. Instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome.

Here’s a tentative schedule what you’ll do at SJW’s JazzGirls Day, Saturday, March 23, at Stanford University:

12:30 – 1:15 Registration and meet the artists
1:15 – 1:30  Welcome to JazzGirls Day with Sarah Cline

At the end of the afternoon, you’ll be able to play or sing better, you’ll have more experience with jazz improvisation, and you’ll have made lots of new jazz friends from all around the Bay Area!
