SJW Jazz Piano Intensive for Adults

Jazz pianists dream of leading their own jazz trio. Some of the most beautiful and influential music in the jazz world has been in the piano trio format, recorded by greats such as Bill Evans, Joanne Brackeen, Teddy Wilson, Cedar Walton, James Williams, Oscar Peterson, Jessica Williams, and dozens of others.

Now is your chance to have an amazing piano trio experience, at SJW in 2023! Develop the full breadth and depth of your jazz piano skills in our new week-long immersion program, the Jazz Piano Intensive.

Open to adults 21 and over by audition only, this program gives you experience playing in a piano trio with professional bassists and drummers. In addition to ensemble instruction and master classes from renowned SJW piano faculty, you’ll get deeper into jazz theory and musicianship as it applies to the piano, and you’ll have access to special presentations from SJW’s Jazz Institute faculty, who are some of the world’s best jazz artists. A special showcase exclusively for Jazz Piano Intensive students will let you put your new knowledge on stage in performance.
