SJW Big Band Fall Showcase

Experience the energy and creativity of the Bay Area’s finest young jazz musicians at our Big Band Showcase, featuring Stanford Jazz Workshop’s Giant Steps Big Bands and Miles Ahead Big Bands. These audition-based ensembles bring together talented middle school and high school students from across the region who share a deep commitment to jazz and ensemble playing. Throughout the semester, they’ve worked closely with SJW faculty artists to refine their sound, strengthen improvisation and section skills, and develop their musical voices. This culminating concert is a joyful reflection of their dedication, artistry, and the spirit of community that defines the Stanford Jazz Workshop.
