Acclaimed guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli celebrates the 40th anniversary of his debut album by reinterpreting classic Broadway and Hollywood hits with his new trio. Enjoy a fun, swinging tribute to the Great American Songbook, crafted for true jazz enthusiasts.
Guitarist, vocalist, and masterful interpreter of the Great American Songbook, John Pizzarelli brings his signature charm and virtuosity to the Stanford Jazz Festival. Praised by the Boston Globe for “reinvigorating the Great American Songbook and re-popularizing jazz.”
A Grammy-winning artist and sought-after collaborator, Pizzarelli has shared the stage and studio with jazz legends like Rosemary Clooney, Buddy DeFranco, and Harry Allen, as well as pop icons Natalie Cole, Kristin Chenoweth, and Dave Van Ronk. Whether performing as a bandleader or lending his smooth vocals and impeccable guitar work to celebrated projects—including his Grammy-winning co-production of James Taylor’s American Standard—Pizzarelli’s performances are a dazzling blend of warmth, humor, and musical brilliance.
A familiar presence on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Conan, Great Performances, and more, Pizzarelli is also the co-host of the long-running radio show Radio Deluxe with John Pizzarelli, alongside his wife Jessica Molaskey.
