In this interactive, hands-on jazz improvisation class, you’ll develop essential skills to navigate chord progressions with confidence. You’ll learn to recognize and interpret chord symbols, identify the scales and note choices that complement each chord, and apply this knowledge directly to your playing. Each week, you’ll explore classic jazz repertoire, strengthening your ability to improvise through guided exercises, soloing opportunities, and ensemble playing. Along the way, you’ll expand your jazz vocabulary, improve your phrasing, and develop a more authentic sound. Most importantly, you’ll gain the creativity and confidence to express yourself musically while making great jazz!
