SJWis thrilled to present a full spring calendar of exciting and all-new jazz programming, including our Jazz Inside Out series, our first annual SJW School Jazz Festival and its evening headlining performance of the Stanford Jazz Orchestra with guest artist Francisco Torres, and our Spring Big Band Showcase!
Jazz Inside Out is a new SJW concert series that expands on Jim Nadel’s Jazz Inside Out concert that has become a staple event that begins the Stanford Jazz Festival. Hosted by SJW Faculty Director Steven Lugerner, this series will showcase local and touring artists around a specific educational theme, providing a glimpse into what goes into the creative process of jazz composers and performers, as well as the curriculum at SJW’s prestigious jazz camp programs. You’ll experience a fabulous concert performance, and you’ll also come away with having learned something new about jazz.
