Anna Fortuna

Based in Brooklyn, Anna Fortuna is a vibraphonist, improviser, and composer whose musical identity was shaped by an upbringing in both Los Angeles and a small town in West Virginia.

Anna’s genre-spanning artistry has led to performances at landmark venues such as the Newport Jazz Festival, The Stone, and the Disney Concert Hall, sharing the stage with artists including Tony Malaby, Francisco Mela, She-e Wu, John Scofield, Trevor Dunn, Katie Webster, Q-Tip, and Simon Hanes.

As a versatile bandleader and collaborator, Anna’s current projects include the quartet Amaranth (co-led with Katie Webster), Simon Hanes’ Tsons of Tsunami, and an upcoming trio album release featuring Francisco Mela and Nick Jozwiak.

Anna is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and The New School.
