Two SJW faculty sax masters on one show.

SJW CD release party: Caroline Davis’ Heart Tonic and Jessica Jones Quartet

Two SJW faculty sax masters on one show.

This CD release concert celebrates new recordings by two fantastic SJW Faculty Artists. Caroline Davis is a New York-based artist with a long line of credits including work with Matt Wilson, Ellis Marsalis, Randy Brecker, and many others.  Jessica Jones has led her piano-less quartet for 25 years, and her list of collaborations is no less impressive, including Don Cherry and Cecil Taylor. Caroline and Jessica each perform with their own bands on this special double-bill concert.

Personnel:

Ben Flocks, tenor saxophone
Carmen Staaf, piano
Noah Garabedian, bass
Evan Hughes, drums

Jessica Jones, tenor sax
