Wide-open new horizons for jazz piano.

“You owe it to yourself to discover the beauty that Maestro makes.”
~ The Ottawa Citizen

Shai Maestro Trio

Wide-open new horizons for jazz piano.

Shai Maestro may be one of the rising stars of jazz piano — but to call him a jazz pianist doesn’t begin to hint and his boundless creativity and border-crossing approach to music. A prodigy in his native Israel, Shai began his professional career at the top, as a member of Avashai Cohen’s band, and has since logged countless performances around the world as a sideman and more recently as the leader of his own trio. His trio features former SJW faculty bassist Jorge Roeder and drummer Ziv Ravitz, and together they’ve released three recordings. In this special concert, the trio plays solo to a small gathering in the intimate Bing Studio, with open bar.

Personnel:
Shai Maestro, piano
Jorge Roeder, bass
Ziv Ravitz, drums
