Jazz Inside Out with Jim Nadel & Friends
Get ready for a summer of great jazz!
Jazz is different, and so are jazz musicians. What makes jazz so special and so enjoyable? If you’re new to the music and wonder how the musicians all play together without any sheet music, this special Festival kickoff concert is for you. Even if you’re a longtime jazz fan but still aren’t clear on what differentiates improvisation from the rest of the music, SJW Artistic & Executive Director Jim Nadel will enlighten you with his horn and his band of top-notch players. Jim doesn’t just talk about jazz — he takes you inside it, so that you’ll have a deeper experience at all the rest of the Stanford Jazz Festival shows.
This concert is FREE to SJW members! Find out more about the benefits of SJW membership here.
