Saxophone – Jazz Camp Week 1

Melecio Magdaluyo is one of the most popular SJW faculty artists, teaching at Jazz Camp and performing all over the Bay Area for many years.

In addition to teaching at SJW, Melecio is on the faculty at the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts in San Francisco (SOTA). He also teaches at the California Jazz Conservatory and Lafayette Summer Workshop.

His extensive performing and recording career has given him the opportunity to work with many great musicians across a wide variety of styles, including Tito Puente, the Whispers, Bobby Brown, Con Funk Shun, Narada Michael Walden, Carlos Santana, Wayne Wallace, John Santos, Pete Escovedo, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Maraca, Jon Jang, James Newton, and Henry Threadgill.
