Kasey Knudsen

Saxophone – Jazz Camp Week 2

S

axophonist Kasey Knudsen has been an integral and influential member of the SJW faculty since 2010, and she teaches year-round at Sonoma State University, the California Jazz Conservatory, and the Monterey Jazz Festival Education Program.

Very active on the Bay Area jazz scene, Kasey leads several of her own ensembles, including the Kasey Knudsen Sextet, the KK Trio, the Schimscheimer Family Trio, and the Holly Martins. She’s performed and recorded with a wide range of artists, including Ben Goldberg, Tune Yards, Erik Jekabson, Fred Frith, Ian Carey, Chris Cohen, the Decembrists, and Charlie Hunter.

Kasey is an alumna of the Berklee College of Music.
