Joshua Crumbly

We’re very happy to welcome back Joshua Crumbly to the Jazz Camp faculty. Joshua was in the SJW Mentor Fellow program some years back, and his radiant personality was just as welcome to have at camp as was his absolutely fantastic bass playing. Students loved studying with him — he has a natural gift for teaching.

Joshua’s been pretty busy since he was last at SJW, joining trumpet great Terence Blanchard’s acclaimed band, recording the amazing Blue Note album Magnetic. Since then he’s recorded and toured with a staggering list of genre-blurring artists including Kamasi Washington, Lizz Wright, Stefon Harris, Ravi Coltrane, Anthony Wilson, and soul singer-songwriter Leon Bridges.
