ne of the most beloved vocal jazz educators in the Bay Area, Erin Simón has been the head of the legendary choral program at Archbishop Mitty High School since 2010, where she directs their award-winning vocal jazz ensemble, Kind of Blue. Under her direction the group has won numerous Command Performance ratings at jazz festivals and consistently placed in the top five at the Folsom Jazz Festival. Erin also teaches Mitty’s Vocal Ensemble, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and AP Music Theory course.

Erin has performed with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, Mission City Opera and the San Francisco Cabaret Opera, and she was a resident artist at the prestigious Ezio Pinza Council for American Singers of Opera in Oderzo, Italy.

She holds a B.S. in Music Education from Duquesne University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Binghamton University.
