e are very happy to welcome back trumpet master Emily Kuhn to Jazz Camp! Emily was a member of our Jazz Mentor Fellowship program for two years, during which time she endeared herself to trumpet students and the SJW team with her astonishing musicianship, calm and effective teaching style, and her sunny attitude.

She teaches music nationwide through the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, Music Inc., and Stanford Jazz Workshop.

Emily has BM and BA degrees in Jazz Trumpet Performance and Environmental Studies from Oberlin College and Conservatory. She studied with renowned trumpet players Eddie Henderson, Sean Jones, and John D’earth.
