About Lil Hardin Armstrong Project/ Schmoe & Co

Pianist Caili O’Doherty has been an SJW counselor and Mentor Fellow, and now she’s a faculty member. A bandleader with a growing reputation, Caili has a new project that focuses on the music of legendary pianist, Lil Hardin Armstrong, who along with her husband Louis Armstrong, was a true jazz pioneer. Bringing a delightful down-under approach to jazz, Australian saxophonist Sylvan “Schmoe” Elhay and his faculty colleagues will offer a swinging set.
