A hot new jazz talent interprets the classics.

“Chugging mainstream swing.”
~ The Guardian

Andrea Motis and Scott Hamilton

A hot new jazz talent interprets the classics.

Music fans who love the beauty and joy of jazz standards interpreted with improvisation at the highest level: This is your show. Barcelona-bred prodigy Andrea Motis brings her astonishing talents as a vocalist and trumpet player to SJW for the first time. Her sound is nothing short of exquisite, and her fresh take on standards brings comparisons to her inspirations Chet Baker and Louis Armstrong. Riding on the success of her first major-label release on the impulse! label, Emotional Dance, Andrea is joined for this special performance by longtime collaborator and legendary tenor player Scott Hamilton, as well as a rhythm section of exciting SJW artists.

Personnel:
Andrea Motis, trumpet and vocals
Scott Hamilton, saxophone
Victor Lin, piano
Joshua Thurston-Milgrom, bass
Ana Barriero, drums
