Drums – Giant Steps Big Band for Middle School Coaching Faculty

Adam Starkopf has been playing drums his whole life and began teaching soon after receiving his BFA on scholarship in Jazz Studies from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City. Adam currently teaches with the Stanford Jazz Workshop and has led master classes at the Berkeley Jazz, School, Cazadero Music Camp and Berkeley Summer Jazz Camp. Adam is a co-leader of one of the Bay Area’s most active bands “Brass Magic” and he is also immersed in the modern dance community in San Francisco working as a resident accompanist for the LINES B.F.A program.
