Ken Oshman Memorial Concert

Stanford Jazz Workshop (SJW) is honored to celebrate the life and legacy of community leader and Silicon Valley pioneer Ken Oshman at the Ken Oshman Memorial Concert on Saturday, June 22, 2013. This memorial concert features a distinguished, nationally recognized jazz artist at the Stanford Jazz Festival to commemorate Ken’s life and important philanthropic leadership. We are delighted to present Herbie Hancock on our opening concert for 2013.

Ken was a friend and supporter of SJW for more than thirty years. SJW's Artistic and Executive Director Jim Nadel knew Ken as “a brilliant man and a strong leader. He accomplished tremendous things in his life and never sang his own praises. His understated but extraordinarily generous and supportive nature have long been an important inspiration to me.”

If you are interested in supporting this annual celebration of Ken’s life, please visit our online donation page to make a contribution to the Ken Oshman Memorial Concert Fund, which supports artist fees, venue rental, production costs, and technical support associated with the concert.
