Stanford Jazz Workshop is pleased to present several great jazz events that are free and open to the public. Come by to learn something new about jazz, see our up-and-coming young jazzers from around the world perform, or hear our faculty artists.

Do you love great jazz outdoors on a beautiful summer evening? Don’t miss the SJW Faculty All-Stars as they play original compositions and arrangements at the Stanford Shopping Center. Presented by SFJAZZ, the seats for this show will fill up rapidly, so be sure to arrive early.

Azure Concerts are fun, friendly and engaging performances tailored for children and young adults who are on the autism spectrum or have similar challenges. This show features a jazz performance by faculty and staff from the Stanford Jazz Workshop. Audience members' parents, family members, and caregivers are all welcome. Jazz Camp Week 1 Showcase

More 200 young jazz artists in 40 bands take the stage in this music-packed free community event. Bring the whole family to see how much fun kids can have playing jazz. In four convenient venues, you can see dozens of jazz combos and vocalists playing everything from cool jazz to bebop, and from standards to originals.
 

Jazz Camp Week 2 Showcase

Public Master Class: Eric Alexander and Harold Mabern

Pianist Harold Mabern is one of the icons of jazz, living jazz history at its best. Eric Alexander is one of the young lions of the tenor saxophone, a master of bebop and a musician of the highest order. Years ago, the two formed a musical bond that has led them to create some of the best music of their careers together. Hear these two artists play and talk about their music at this special presentation, which is made possible with funding provided by the Western States Arts Federation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
 

Jazz Institute Showcase
