Education Encounter with Taylor Eigsti
A conversation about pianist Taylor Eigsti is filled with superlatives such as "best," "most talented" and "nicest" (as in, "isn't Taylor just one of the nicest people you've ever met"). So we were especially excited to host Taylor at an Education Encounter this past spring (a benefit for members of SJW's Inner Circle). Eigsti, a local boy made good who grew up in Menlo Park, loves to talk about music, and his responses to audience questions were infused with thoughtful good humor and personal anecdotes. Now signed to the Concord Jazz label and with two Grammy nominations to his credit, Taylor's playing is graceful, melodic and elegant: perfect for a Sunday afternoon!
